Teamweek 2025: The Weather’s Cretan adventure

TeamLifestyle

At The Weather, we are remote-first by design. Our team is spread across several countries and time zones, a setup that offers incredible freedom and flexibility. But let’s be honest: seeing a face in a pixelated square during a weekly sync just doesn’t feel the same as sharing a coffee or an after-work beer.

We still believe in the power of meeting in real life. That’s how Teamweek was born. We know that genuine connection fuels creativity, so we’ve made this annual gathering an integral, non-negotiable part of our company culture.

Once a year, when the grey skies of Prague and Berlin begin to settle in, we pack our bags and establish a pop-up office in a sunny, inspiring location. We don’t put our work on hold entirely, but we limit it to the essentials — keeping projects on track while unplugging as much as possible. This is the time we dedicate specifically to building connections.

  • The full spectrum of activities. Ranging from meditative ceramics workshops to a highly contested “The Weather Olympics” and the company’s first-ever PowerPoint presentation.
  • Taking the plunge. Jumping into the icy, crystal-clear waters of Kourtaliotiko Gorge.

  • Wellness in the wild. Early morning runs through olive orchards and yoga sessions at sunset.

  • Pure downtime. Lazy dips in the pool and days dozing on the beach.

  • Feasts. Large communal dinners on the terrace that stretched into the night.

  • A Paleontology of Our Own. Finding what we confidently identified as dragon eggs. We tried what we could — sun rituals, wishful thinking. Sadly nothing hatched.

  • Almost hiking the Samaria Gorge. We talked about it a lot. We planned it. We got really, really close.

  • The Vibe. Philosophical discussions, sipping Retsina, chasing goats.

We’re back at our desks now — slightly tanner and quite a bit closer. Projects just run smoother when you’ve actually spent time with the people behind the screens. Remote work is great, but it’s easier to work together when you’ve shared a meal (and a few glasses of wine) in real life.

Build your brand. Easy.

Whether you’re just starting out or ready to scale, we make it simple to create a brand that looks good and feels right.
