We’re looking for a mid-to-senior web designer to join The Weather on a project basis. You’ll design websites, digital products and visual identities for international clients — independently, from brief to handoff.
Responsibilities
- Design outstanding websites and digital experiences — always with an eye on function, objectives and results
- Develop visual identities: logos, colour palettes, typography, guidelines
- Own UX thinking across your projects — from early flows and wireframes to polished, interaction-ready Figma files
- Pitch and present concepts to clients, explain your decisions and iterate with confidence
- Collaborate with developers and project managers to get things built as designed
- Contribute to The Weather’s own brand, portfolio and visual output — including Oylo, our in-house AI product
- Mentor and give feedback to junior designers and interns when needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in web and UI/UX design, with a portfolio that proves it. The ideal candidate looks at our showcase and thinks they can do better.
- Figma is second nature — design systems, components, tokens, variables, prototypes, handoff, all of it
- Strong visual identity skills — you can build a brand from scratch and apply it across digital touchpoints
- Exceptional English — written and spoken. You’ll be communicating directly with international clients. Vague or imprecise communication isn’t something we can work around.
- A sharp UX instinct — you design for users and outcomes, not just aesthetics
- AI-forward — you use AI tools actively in your design workflow. Whether that’s ideation, asset generation, copy assist or UX research, you’re already working this way and staying ahead of where the tooling is going.
- Self-directed and reliable — fully remote means no one is chasing you. You manage your time, meet your deadlines and flag issues early
- We value multidisciplinary expertise — if you moonlight as a mime or have a background in high finance, let us know
Nice to have
- Experience with Webflow, Framer or Elementor
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Motion design, video, 3D or animation
- Copywriting, illustration or concept work
- German or Czech
What we offer
- Part-time, 4 days or full time
- Starting compensation: €1,600–€3,500 (depending on scope and experience)
- Fully remote with flexible hours
- Prague or Berlin preferred for occasional in-person time
- Full creative ownership — your projects are yours from pitch to go-live
- A company that values freedom, but knows freedom comes from professionalism
- Team offsites once or twice a year somewhere worth going
How to apply
Send us your CV and portfolio — Figma files, live sites, case studies, whatever best shows your thinking. No long cover letter needed. Tell us what kind of work you want to do more of and why The Weather.
